Ice Monster
First appearing as a bright light at the horizon that looked like the clouds were clearing, this turned out to be a massive ice slab broken off a shelf in the Weddel Sea. Several of these were passed; they measured over 20 miles on a side. Leaving South Orkney Islands for the Antarctic peninsula.
