We arrive at the fort in typical Arctic weather, chilly fog and flurries of snow. This site was briefly occupied in 1882-1883 by Adolphus Greeley, whose party was stranded there and eventually had to make their way out dragging small boats over the ice, and only 7 made the trip alive.
